There is a strong test community in Copenhagen. If you live there, take a look at:
- Prototypedage i København (daytime in Copenhagen)
- Spil på sporet (almost every wednesday afternoon/evening next to Dybbølsbro station).
- “Testing Tuesdays” held on some tuesdays at Bastard Café
You can also take part in Papjam if you want to spend a fun weekend designing games with other people.
I am often asked about advice for board game design or publishing. Unfortunately, I do not have time to do personal tutoring. I recommend that you go to one of the events (especially Prototypedage and Spil på Sporet), and I may be there, and if not, there will be other people to ask.
I do not know anything about publishing board games. I only sign board games with publishing companies who then do the publishing, and I recommend every aspiring designer to do the same. Why? Because even though they take a huge part of the cut, they take an ever huger part of the work, and your game will have a better chance of getting broadly distributed.
